My whole idea was to actually keep it under 300 cals a day, but since that's still less than the 500 cals, that's alright.

hi ladies,
i'm claire, 21 years old, around 5'7" and a mildly revolting 150 pounds. i averaged between 128-135 in high school (i've been gaining steadily since senior year) and want to get back there; don't want to be too skinny cause i might lose what little boob fat i have! so basically, my bmi now is 23 or so and i want to get it down to 20 or 21. i'm trying to restrict calories while keeping up with cardio every day. are there any ways to keep your metabolism up when you keep below the 900 calories a day threshold? i've been trying green tea, but this is only my 2nd day of serious restriction and i'm not too familiar with any techniques that people might use.

if anyone is looking to lose 20-25 pounds through restriction and wants a moral support buddy, feel free to add me and we can help each other out during the next few weeks!

My last plan crashed and failed I went from 144 to 128 in about a month but then got sick, and tried to be healthy, but ultimately got off track and gained it all back plus maybe a little more. So my plan now is something compared to the way I lost all my weight in high school and got down to 113 or so. I basically juice fasted (just liquids) without counting calories. And then I allowed one day (Sunday) to eat healthily, which means one meal.

So I started on Monday with no problems but for some reason the weakness hit me really quick. So I had a small bowl of rice yesterday and two rice cakes with peanut butter on them. And my Energy is a lot better and my strength is back up. I went to the grocery store and got Juices for the “fast”. Lots of varieties so I don’t freak out and quit. Also I got BABY FOOD for emergencies. I accept that since it isn’t a solid and it’s really low in calories.

So I am going to non-solid/liquid fast mon-sat and have one healthy sized meal on Sunday until I am an acceptable weight. And yes if I somehow binge when I am half awake or when I am drunk or whatever, I will be putting myself through hell and throwing it all up as much as possible.

Liquids that are acceptable…
100% Juice
Liquid yogurt
Fresh Fruit Smoothies
Veggie juices
Vegetable Broth

In Emergencies of weakness
Small doses of Ice cream
Milk shakes
Baby food

So I will weigh myself as soon as I get a chance so I have a starting point.

Hi! My name is Kat and I just joined. I love to restrict my calories, I've been doing it on and off since primary school. I've recently made some real progress, actually breaking my emotional attachment to food, and so far dropped a pants size (11 to 9). I'm 5'9" and somewhere around 170. My dream weight is 142 (bmi of 21) and I hope to be there by December.

I don't have a lot of control, I use diet pills to kill my appetite and keep me awake. I love supportive communities because I love to give support and of course receive it too.

ok, today is supposed to be all the meat stuff i want. i'm in no mood really. i gained 1 pound since yesterday and im beginning to get fed up at this point. i want to go back to restricting only. so today here's what i had:

a 9oz piece of steak

saturday and sundays are my rest days from working out cause my husband is home and im ashamed to work out in front of him. but i felt so crappy today i had to do something so he went out and i worked out. it's habit now and i can't get through the day without some crunches lol.

i want to stop this diet already but i can't just quit or my husband will hound me. i told him not to let me quit or cheat. i admit sometimes he'll give me a noodle or two of some saimen or one pringle but he's been really good about not letting me binge. so just one more day. one more day. then im going to start my 500 cal a day goal.

i'm cross posting (500cal, 140andover, and personal) this cause it's approx. what i was going to share with the groups anyway :)

Well so much for an all liquid diet. I woke up at 4 am for work with a migraine and I can't take my meds on an empty stomach, even if I take zantac. (oh yea, btw...its a good way to kill hunger pain...gotta love zantac!) So I ate a piece of whole wheat bread (70 cals), and made myself go to work with the migraine to work off the cals. I hope everyone else is having a better day than I am.

Hey all, I figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Kendra, my age is 15, and my restriction is to 100. About half the time I stay under 100, the rest of the time I may go up to four or five hundred. Consistency is not my strong suit. >< Well... I hope this comunity is as active as 140_or_over. We need some banners and such to promote. Although I sucked in the 500 cal or lower today, tomorrow will be good :)

I find if I am hungry and just need to have something in my mouth (usually the reason I end up eating everything in sight) I suck on Lifesavers (5 cals each). Good luck all ♥

My pickle jar says there are no cals at all in the pickles. I wouldn't reccomend eating too many because of the salt content...but its a no guilt snack if you need something salty and don't want to ruin you diet with chips.
